iPad dan iPhone CDMA Segera Hadir?

VIVAnews - Meski pekan lalu Apple hanya menghadirkan iPad dengan layanan data 3G khusus AT&T di kawasan Amerika Serikat, kencang tersiar kabar bahwa produsen hardware tersebut akan menghadirkan model CDMA untuk jaringan Verizon.

Silicon Alley Insider mengaku mendapatkan informasi tersebut dari sumber mereka di Verizon. Kabarnya, seperti VIVAnews kutip dari Apple Insider, 2 Februari 2010, iPad tersebut kini sedang dalam pengerjaan.

iPad yang diluncurkan pekan lalu mendukung jaringan 3G. Jika kabar tersebut akurat, iPad versi CDMA tampaknya akan menggunakan versi hardware yang berbeda dibanding perangkat yang akan dipasarkan ke seluruh dunia. Adapun iPad 3G khusus AT&T sendiri baru akan hadir 3 bulan mendatang.

Pada peluncuran iPad pekan lalu, sejumlah eksekutif Apple menyatakan bahwa mereka puas atas kerjasamanya dengan AT&T. Apple juga mengelak spekulasi bahwa iPhone akan tersedia lewat beberapa operator sekaligus, di Amerika Serikat.

Meski demikian, sejumlah analis yakin bahwa iPad versi Verizon akan hadir dalam waktu dekat. Dengan iPhone versi CDMA akan muncul di paruh kedua tahun ini.

Kerjasama dengan Verizon, baik untuk produk iPhone ataupun iPad, kemungkinan akan diungkapkan pada Worldwide Developers Conference musim panas ini. Dijadwalkan, WWDC 2010 akan berlangsung di San Francisco, 28 Juni sampai 2 Juli mendatang.

iPhone utk GSM aja baterai nya boros minta ampun, gimana versi CDMA nih...
siap2 selalu bawa usb cable dan chager nya kemana pun pergi....

ponsel dengan banyak fitur biasanya emg boros baterai, sis.... kalo mo hemat, nonaktifin aja fitur2 yg ga kepake misal layar set ke 30% aja, loudness ke 2-3 bar aja, matiin 3G, WiFi.....

kalo 3G ON, baterai rasanya bocor, cepet bgt berkurang..

WiFi sih off terus, jarang dipake..

saya sih biasanya selalu matiin 3G, Wifi.... bahkan ga pernah dengerin musik he3

Elin ga pernah setting 3G / non 3G...
otomatis detect gt aja di tempat tertentu...

kadang beruntung dapet 3G, cepet browse nya..
kadang agak sedih dapet 3G, menghabiskan kinerja baterai lbh cepat

iPhone is smart enough to auto access Internet through either 3G, Wi-Fi, EDGE or GPSR. However, if you're holding an iPhone 3G in Malaysia like me and you're not a 3G user yet, you might need to disable your auto connected GPRS connection due to its expensive data rates.

Whenever an Internet service is loaded, data will be transferred automatically through GPRS whether you like it or not. Therefore, I have found a trick to disable the access to GPRS network on my iPhone with just 5 simple steps.

   1. Tap Setting icon
   2. Tap General
   3. Tap Network
   4. Tap Cellular Data Network
   5. Tap APN, Username and Password field

Simply type in some words so iPhone will not pass the correct values to service providers (Digi, Maxis or Celcom). You will receive a message that says "Unable to Connect to the GPRS Network" whenever you accidentally tap on online tool icons.

In order to access Internet through GPRS, just delete the fake information will do. Enjoy!
