All, distro linux apa yg ringan jalannya ?
td coba ubuntu 12 via VM (parallel) di OS X tp OS X-nya dikuras resource-nya ?
alokasi resource unt linux CPU 2Core, mem 1Gig, HD 8 Gig
hasilnya CPU jalan diatas 75% terus2an dan gerak'in mouse lagging banget.

any idea ? what happend ?
apa ubuntu memang haus hardware resource ?
ataukah parallel yang kurang bersahabat menjalankan mesin linux ?
atau ada pandangan distro linux yg ringan unt dijalankan via mesin virtual ?

gak pernah coba pake paralel sih, tapi kalau coba di vbox, lancar jaya koq.. gak pake lelet..
kenapa harus paralel ?

kalau mau ubuntu juga, ya lubuntu pake LXDE
kalau mau jadi ubuntu geek, ya bisa coba lirik archlinux, itu bener2 pas awal booting hanya dikasih shell prompt doank silakan mainin pacman-nya .. mo pake awesome atau yang lain bisa dipilih..

==> ok ntar dicoba pake Vbox,
dl sdh pernah coba tp resolusi-nya terbatas tdk bisa full screen trs balik lagi ke parallel

==> sekarang baru coba donlot lubuntu & xubuntu
tak dinyana, file iso-nya besar2 juga yah, perkiraan awal skitar 350-500 megs

==> idup udah susah om, jangan dibikin tambah susah

resolusi gede koq.. udah install VBOX Additional Guest belon di ubuntunya ?
soalnya dulu gw sempat pake Windows sebagai host dengan ubuntu sebagai guest.. lancar jaya..
tapi lama2.. windowsnya digantikan oleh ubuntu

belum intensif pake linux, br liat2, lumayan kepayahan (karena biasa tinggal klik ajah)
ntar sekalian instal, krn pernah ditanya juga ama Vbox tp langsung diskip, thx's sdh di-ingatkan
