Global System for Mobile communications (GSM: originally from Groupe Spécial Mobile) is the most popular standard for mobile phones in the world. Its promoter, the GSM Association, estimates that 82% of the global mobile market uses the standard . GSM is used by over 2 billion people across more than 212 countries and territories. Its ubiquity makes international roaming very common between mobile phone operators, enabling subscribers to use their phones in many parts of the world. GSM differs from its predecessors in that both signaling and speech channels are digital call quality, and so is considered a second generation (2G) mobile phone system. This has also meant that data communication were built into the system using the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is a 3G (third generation) mobile telephony communications protocol in the High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) family, which allows networks based on Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) to have higher data transfer speeds and capacity. Current HSDPA deployments support down-link speeds of 1.8, 3.6, 7.2 and 14.4 Mbit/s, and can provide each customer with 30 gigabytes of data per month. Further speed increases are planned for the near future. The networks are then to be upgraded to Evolved HSPA, which provides speeds of 42 Mbit/s downlink in its first release.

There is no place like 127.0.0.1

kalo pake UMTS daerah yg tidak tercover 3G ato HSDPA, maka sinyal ilank
mendingan pake Dual Mode, biar dapat ganti band secara otomatis kalo di daerah tertentu.

kalo jaringan 3G, internetan agak nguras batere
kalo cuman buat Voice Call n sms, mending pake jaringan GSM
kalo untuk internetan dgn speed yg lbh cpt n sering Video Call, pake UMTS ato Dual Mode
