oh...so hokben was born in siantar...

i am having my lunch at the moment, i have tempe,fried chicken and lettuce soup

nope, my girlfriend was...

nice menu, i ate gado2..

hm...probably we didn't call it lettuce, hiks... i dunno either the indonesian or the english, as i knew that hokkienese call them kua chai and usually they make kiam chai

if kiam chai is made from "lettuce", then "lettuce" is "sawi" in bahasa

sawi is different with selada...

people make kiam chai using sawi, but selada's latin name is lactuca sativa (close with lettuce)...

hm... i have heard from the seller that kua chai is one of sawi, but they taste bitter and is one of chinese veg, it means that kua chai is chinese sawi, sawi in general is indonesian sawi...but i don't know the english...
