YES MAN - a review and thought

Just watch "Yes Man" and I loved it very much. It is a story about a man,
named Carl who always says "No" to everything, to his best friend's phone,
invitation, everything. He just like to stay at home and watch DVD (kinda
like me… ). He even forgot his best friend's engagement party coz he
wouldn't pick up the phone.

One day, he met a friend who asked him to go to a "Yes" seminar. Carl went
to the seminar and had to promise himself that he will say "Yes" from now
on. If he says "No", something bad will happen to him.

When he starts to say "Yes", things looks a bit nightmare-ish. He had to
drive a homeless to nowhere and the homeless has used all the battery in his
mobile, while he run out of gas, so he had to walk far away to get gas. But
somehow, the nightmare turned into a nice experience when he met a girl
(Allison) who at the end captured his heart.

What I want to say is, sometimes, we (or I) live like the old Carl. Because
of our hectic day at work, we forgot to enjoy live to the fullest. In this
movie, Allison said that, "The world is a playground. You know that when you
are a kid, but somewhere along the way, you forget it".

We just get stuck in our routine and if we do something out of ordinary,
people will think that you are strange. We will think by living "normally",
we have lived a good life, but lots of us don't realize that we are dying
inside.

So I think, it worth to try to live a bit crazy and out of ordinary as long
as you enjoy it. Try new things, say Hi to a stranger (although in Jakarta
probably people will think that you want to hypnotized them… hehehe..), help
a stranger, fall in love everyday. Who knows something good might be waiting
for you around the corner.

So, start to say "YES" today!!!
