Pernah nonton The Eyes baik yang versi Mandarin / versi Barat (Jessica Alba)
Di sana diceritakan bahwa Jessica Alba setelah menerima donor mata, mengalami kejadian2 yang aneh.
Saya awalnya berpikir itu hanyalah film semata, dan sebagai hiburan.

Hanya saja, saya kembali menemukan topik ini sehubung mencoba googling soal tempat penyedia jantung di Indonesia

Sempat Menikahi Janda Pendonor, lalu Bunuh Diri
Tragis nian nasib Cheryl Cotte. Saat suaminya bunuh diri 12 tahun lalu, dia mendonorkan jantung sang suami kepada Sony Graham. Belakangan, nasib mempertemukan dia dengan Graham dan menjadikannya suami kedua. Siapa sangka, Graham kemudian bunuh diri juga.

"Bertemu Sonny membuat segalanya lebih mudah bagiku, mengetahui sesuatu yang baik datang dari sesuatu yang buruk," ujar Cheryl Cottle. Pernyataan itu diungkapkan Cheryl Cottle beberapa saat setelah dia menikah dengan Sonny Graham, suami barunya.

Graham memang dikenal baik. Dia suka membantu siapa saja yang membutuhkan. Tak aneh, Cheryl sangat bahagia menikah dengannya. "Tiap ada yang punya masalah, yang pertama melintas di benak kami adalah panggil Sonny Graham. Tidak peduli banmu kempis atau mesin cucimu rusak, dia akan membantumu. Dia bahkan tidak perlu tahu namamu untuk membantumu," ujar Bill Carson, yang telah 40 tahun bersahabat dengan Graham.

Pertemuan Cheryl Cottle dan Sonny Graham bisa dibilang unik. Kisah berawal saat Graham mengalami gagal jantung pada 1995. Dia membutuhkan donor jantung. Sebab, dokter menyatakan bahwa jantungnya tidak berfungsi lagi. Dokter bahkan bilang harapan hidup Graham tinggal 6 bulan jika tidak menemukan donor yang tepat

Untunglah, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas South Carolina menemukan donor yang tepat buat Graham. Yakni, jantung Terry Cottle, pria 33 tahun yang bunuh diri dengan menembak kepala sendiri.

Setahun kemudian Graham mencari keluarga pendonornya untuk menyatakan terima kasih. Berdasarkan alamat yang diberikan pihak rumah sakit, Graham menulis surat kepada keluarga Terry Cottle secara berkala.

Bahkan, Graham akhirnya memutuskan untuk bertemu dengan keluarga pendonornya itu pada January 1997. Saat itulah, dia bertemu dengan janda Terry, yakni Cheryl, di Charleston. Rupanya, pertemuan itu membuat jantung Graham berdetak kencang. Dia jatuh hati kepada janda cantik itu. "Saya seperti telah mengenalnya bertahun-tahun. Saya tidak bisa melepaskan pandangan darinya," tutur Graham ketika ditanyai tentang Cheryl.

Empat tahun kemudian, pada 2001, Graham memutuskan membelikan Cheryl dan keempat anaknya sebuah rumah di Vidalia. Tiga tahun setelah itu mereka menikah dan pindah ke Georgia.

Mereka menjalani kehidupan rumah tangga dengan mulus hingga peristiwa mengejutkan mengubah segalanya. Pekan lalu (1/4), tepat 12 tahun setelah dia menerima donor jantung dari Terry, Graham menembak kepala sendiri, persis yang dilakukan sang donor. Menurut Greg Harvey yang menyidik kasus Graham, kejadian itu murni bunuh diri.

Tentu, kejadian tersebut membuat Cheryl, yang berprofesi sebagai juru rawat, shock berat. Maklum, dua suaminya mati dengan cara sama. Apalagi, Graham tidak pernah memperlihatkan tanda-tanda akan mengakhiri hidup dengan tragis. Semua teman yang ditemuinya sebelum kejadian menyatakan bahwa Graham tak memperlihatkan gejala depresi.

Namun, kejadian itu bukan satu-satunya, rupanya. Para ilmuwan menyatakan, setidaknya ada 70 kasus serupa yang menimpa penerima donor organ. Perubahan kepribadian seperti ini biasa disebut fenomena ingatan seluler. Penerima organ akan memiliki sebagian sifat pendonor. Bisa jadi, itu pula yang membuat Graham merasa telah mengenal Cheryl bertahun-tahun. Padahal, dia baru kali pertama bertemu. (AP/Daily mail/sha/soe)

Teknologi Informasi / [INFO] Vista SP 1 Maret 2008 masih versi Beta

Dear All

Sedikit share, biar yang lain jika ingin meng-update Windows Vista menjadi Vista SP1 berpikir kembali.
Saya mengalami sendiri, ketika saya meng-update Vista Business yang ada di Laptop menjadi Vista SP1
Memang awalnya tidak ada masalah dalam kinerja, dan hanya agak sedikit buruk di bagian penampilan desktop
yaitu ada watermark : Evaluation copy dengan no Build : XXXX.

Update yang saya gunakan waktu itu : Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Five Language Standalone (KB936330)
Ternyata setelah saya periksa, masih berupa versi Beta, belum menjadi SP 1 full version.

Akibatnya setelah jalan agak 1 bulan, Vista saya tiba2 menjadi agak "aneh" dengan muncul pesan : Masa Evaluasi akan segera berakhir dalam tempo ... hari. Silakan backup data Anda atau ganti dengan copy lainnya.

Padahal ketika dari pertama membeli laptop ini tahun November 2007 sampai sekarang tidak ada permasalahan.

Jadi bagi yang sudah meng-install Vista SP 1, ada baiknya segera di-remove sebelum Vista SP1 akan mati mendadak tiap 1 jam

Langkah2nya :
1. Klik Start / Control Panel / Program and Features
2. Klik View Installed Updates
3. Cari Service Pack KB936330
4. Klik kanan -> Uninstall
5. Restart ulang komputer Anda.

Mahayana / [ASK] Guna membaca sutra dengan cepat ?

Dear All.

Ada sedikit ganjalan pertanyaan (No Offense)

Tadi habis kebaktian, kebetulan menggunakan style Mahayana,

Selama ini saya ikut kebaktian Mahayan tidak pernah merasa aneh dengan pembacaan cepat (walau juga sesak)
Tapi hari ini tiba2 terpikir ketika saya agak sesak karena kesulitan mengikuti jalannya pembacaan sutra dengan cepat.
Karena saya langsung jadi bosan mengikuti kebaktian karena berusaha menerka2 mana lagi text yang sedang dibaca.
Ketika ketemu.. mulai ikuti.. ketinggalan lagi.. cari lagi.. mulai ketemu.. mulai ikuti.. ketinggalan lagi..
Jadi terpikir.. gunanya membaca sutra dengan cepat apa ya ?
