Saya udah kuliah 3 semester di Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra tapi masih kurang gitu di speaking dan listening :'(
Kalau pas speaking di depan kelas atau presentasi pasti masih gemeteran dan ga bisa lancar ngomongnya..
Pas listening juga masih kurang cepat menangkap ::)
Berbagai cara udah dicoba misal: ngomong sama temen se fakultas pake bahasa inggris, untuk listeningnya juga udah coba dengan dengerin lagu dan sering enggak nangkep words nya ::)
Kadang juga kalo pas ga ada tugas nonton tv di kos yang kartun pake bahasa inggris, juga kurang bisa nangkep..
Gimana yah caranya biar bisa semakin baik speaking dan listening nya? Mohon masukannya :( :yes:

there are 42 clubs in jakarta, and 10 clubs in surabaya
unfortunately there is none in semarang,
so ask your faculty to made a club
or... join couchsurfing

Untuk listening download audiobooks, sama sering2 nonton film yang pake bahasa english "asli", kek Harry Potter, LOTR, dll, pertama pakai sub english(sambil nangkep omongannya), kemudian nonton lagi, jangan pake sub lagi...

:hammer:brother, in my faculty, there are still a lot of old star.. If they can't finish their study in 7 years, they will do readmisi. They have to pay SPP and uang gedung again as new students, have a new NIM as new student, but they can still do their thesis.. there is no DO in my univerity :|

U wont stay at home all the time, there must be a lot of ways to find ur soulmate.. he might be here.. *no one knows* :P anyway u can also be a school or public teacher at the same time so u can make some friends... Yes, 4 years study. However, I am taking Intro to research this semester( actually this subject is for semester 5's students) this is the basic subject to take thesis. If there is no change, I will write my thesis at the sixth semester and graduate after I finish my seventh semester :)

Dont use any subtitle.
After that, proceed to other movies.
Start with action movies, then to movies with lots of dialogue.
When you are confident enough, try to listen to Audiobook
It is basically a book, but in the form of recording, somebody will recite it for you.
I usually listen to free audiobook of my favorite novel which is available in internet.
Well I think you can find the pirated copy. The downside is that the files are large and takes long time to download
And the originals are expensive.
For speaking, no other way, you need to practice with a partner.

haha.. I don't like teaching.. I don't wanna be a real teacher who teaches at the school.If you think of being a teacher is not good enough for the salary is too low, then why don't you try to be a civil servants (PNS) sist?
When I was junior and senior high school student I often say that I don't wanna be a teacher.
I have point of view that to be a teacher isn't good. You'll spent a lot of ur time to make exam questions, do correction, never get high salary, just stuck at the back of table, and get married in old age. I don't wanna be a teacherrrrrrr~
My math teacher had said that his salary right now is about Rp. 7.500.000,- per month..
higher salary, and yet easier than most kind of job..
for example, when you working in bank, you only get about Rp. 5.000.000,- per month and you have to work all day long..
being a teacher only takes half day, from morning to afternoon, and after that you can spend your spare time to do other kind of job, or maybe hang out with friends..

being a private teacher isn't that bad... once you feel being accepted in the family you work at. besides that, it is a good point for your portfolio and hey, the best learning is teaching!

Friends.. Saya bingung deh :|
Saya udah kuliah 3 semester di Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra tapi masih kurang gitu di speaking dan listening :'(
Kalau pas speaking di depan kelas atau presentasi pasti masih gemeteran dan ga bisa lancar ngomongnya..
Pas listening juga masih kurang cepat menangkap ::)
Berbagai cara udah dicoba misal: ngomong sama temen se fakultas pake bahasa inggris, untuk listeningnya juga udah coba dengan dengerin lagu dan sering enggak nangkep words nya ::)
Kadang juga kalo pas ga ada tugas nonton tv di kos yang kartun pake bahasa inggris, juga kurang bisa nangkep..
Gimana yah caranya biar bisa semakin baik speaking dan listening nya? Mohon masukannya :( :yes:

cumi pernah jadi penterjemah utk bhiku dari Birma dlm topik meditasi...
kejadiannya sih itu acara dadakan dan sptnya gak ada yg bersedia maju jadi penterjemah...
nahh cumi kan agak "usil" ini menawarkan diri.... cumi mengatakan kalau ada yg lebih
bisa, silahkan... tapi kalau tidak cumi bersedia....hehehehe....
ternyata ini job yg pertama, maka perlu konsentrasi penuh (tidak disarankan ngelamun) dan kerjaan ini memang memeras otak....
apalagi bhiku yg ngomong ngerocos panjang...ahhhhh terpaksa cumi nulis2 dikertas secara ringkas baru kemudian menterjemahkan sambil melihat catatan tsb..... untung semua berjalan dgn lancar... beberapa kata2 sulit dibantu oleh rekan2 cumi...ha ha ha.... (ini udah janjian dulu utk rekan2 yg akan membantu...)
jadi utk menjadi expert in English, tak ada salahnya menawarkan diri jadi penterjemah....
siapa yg berani coba ?
