Jakarta - Baterai ramah lingkungan yang satu ini benar-benar unik. Betapa tidak? Baterai yang dinamakan NoPoPo tersebut bisa diisi ulang dengan memanfaatkan beragam cairan, termasuk air kencing.
Dikutip detikINET dari Tech Digest, Jumat (16/1/2009), baterai ini dibuat perusahaan bernama Aqua Power System yang berbasis di Jepang. NoPoPo sempat dipamerkan di perhelatan CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2009 yang belum lama berakhir.
Selain dengan air kencing, isi ulang NoPoPo juga bisa memanfaatkan air bir, jus apel, dan minuman cola. Caranya cukup dengan memasukkan cairan pada penampung kecil yang ditautkan di baterai.
Dilansir PcMag, cairan tersebut dipakai untuk membangkitkan reaksi antara magnesium dan alumunium di baterai. Daya yang ada memang tidak sekuat baterai AA pada umumnya, hanya cukup mendayai perangkat seperti jam mungil.
Baterai NoPoPo ini sudah tersedia di negara Jepang. Adapun banderol harganya sekitar US$ 15 per unit.

NASA: Gas may be new evidence of life on Mars
Scientists say methane could be coming from rocks or microscopic life

January 15, 2009 (Computerworld) NASA scientists have discovered that Mars actually is burping gas -- methane to be exact -- which could be one more sign that there's life on the Red Planet.
The space agency announced today that its researchers have found definitive evidence of methane emissions into the Martian atmosphere, which could indicate that the planet is still alive, either biologically or geologically.
"Methane is quickly destroyed in the Martian atmosphere in a variety of ways, so our discovery of substantial plumes of methane in the northern hemisphere of Mars in 2003 indicates some ongoing process is releasing the gas," said Michael Mumma of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, in a written statement. "Right now, we don't have enough information to tell if biology or geology -- or both -- is producing the methane on Mars. But it does tell us that the planet is still alive, at least in a geologic sense. It's as if Mars is challenging us, saying, 'Hey, find out what this means.'"
NASA scientists have been putting significant emphasis in recent months into an effort to find evidence of life or at least life-sustaining elements on Mars.
Scientists announced last summer that for thousands or even millions of years, rivers, lakes and deltas coursed across the surface of Mars. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory reported in July that its scientists have concluded that Mars was once awash in water. NASA said the findings are spurring further interest in searching not only for elements that could support life, but also for evidence of past life.
Close-up photos of the planet were sent down to the NASA scientists from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. While the spacecraft has been orbiting the planet, NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander was working on the surface of its northern pole for several months last year, running its own experiments. Late in June, the robotic arm on the Lander found what NASA scientists had been hoping for -- ice -- a key element in supporting life.
Then soon after the ice discovery, NASA scientists announced that they'd found that the Martian soil contained minerals that are essential to supporting life. The dirt was found to be very alkaline, with a pH level of between eight and nine. It also contained magnesium, sodium, potassium and chloride. NASA reported that the minerals in Martian soil are typical of soils here on Earth.
NASA scientists said today that there's now more hope than ever of finding signs of life on Mars.
According to NASA, methane is the main component of natural gas on Earth. It's of interest to astrobiologists because biological organisms release much of Earth's methane as they digest nutrients. But that's not the only way methane is produced. Geological processes, like the oxidation of iron, also release methane, NASA pointed out.
And scientists noted that if microscopic Martian life is producing the methane that's being found in the atmosphere, the organisms most likely live far below the planet's surface, where it's still warm enough for liquid water to exist. Liquid water, as well as energy sources and a supply of carbon, is necessary for all known forms of life, according to NASA.

After much careful scrutiny, we finally found the joke that received higher ratings than any other gag. Here it is:
Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps, "My friend is dead! What can I do?". The operator says "Calm down. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says "OK, now what?"
This joke was submitted by Gurpal Gosall, a 31 year old psychiatrist from Manchester in the UK. He told LaughLab:
"I like the joke as it makes people feel better, because it reminds them that there is always someone out there who is doing something more stupid than themselves."

The joke is interesting because it works across many different countries, appeals to men and women, and young and old alike. Many of the jokes submitted received higher ratings from certain groups of people, but this one had real universal appeal.
Also, we find jokes funny for lots of different reasons – they sometimes make us feel superior to others, reduce the emotional impact of anxiety-provoking events, or surprise us because of some kind of incongruity. The hunters joke contains all three elements – we feel superior to the stupid hunter, realise the incongruity of him misunderstanding the operator and the joke helps us to laugh about our concerns about our own mortality.

Teman2 mau tanya lagi..
1. mau tanya setting via gprs tapi pake xl bebas prabayar... itu sistemnya gimana..
kan ada liat di situs xl nya.. katanya ada yang kirim sms atau manual.. itu harus dipake dua-duanya atau salah satu....
misal kalau udah mau mulai chatting itu gimana.. tinggal connect apa gimana?
2. kalau chatting itu pake program apa yang gratis.. misal untuk online ke yahoo...atau gtalk... atau msn...
3. tarifnya gimana ya? misal kita kirimnya 160 karakter atau seperti sms itu berapa ya?

Ada yang bisa bantu???
Salah satu anak teman papa saya yang beragama kr****n sering kesurupan/kemasukan, awal2nya kemasukan makhluk biasa2 aja. Sampai suatu keluarga teman papa pindah rumah ke daerah BSD. Setelah beberapa bulan tinggal disana terjadi keanehan sama anak tersebut, anak itu kesurupan makhluk yang pernah gantung diri di pohon dekat rumahnya yang berjarak 10 meter. Kalau anak tersebut sudah kemasukan makhluk itu pasti bola mata hitamnya naik ke atas, yang terlihat hanya putih mata saja trus slalu bernyanyi “ikuti ajaranku ikatkan tali dileher dan gantungkan dipohon itu”. Dy langsung ngamuk kalo kita pegangin dan juga langsung aniaya orang tuanya kalo orang tua dari anak tersebut menghalangi anak yang sedang kemasukan itu melakukan apa yg diperintahkan makhluk tersebut dalam nyanyiannya untuk bunuh diri. Papanya dicekik dan rambut mamanya ditarik sekencang2nya sampai sekarang kepala mamanya tidak bisa dipegang/disisir karena jadi bonyok kepalanya. Orang tuanya putus asa mau bawa anak tersebut ke rumah sakit jiwa, tapi keluarga saya melarang karena itu bukan anaknya yang melakukan, saya sekeluarga melihat dengan mata kepala sendiri kalau anak itu pada saat melakukan penganiyayaan pada saat kesurupan. Karena orang tuanya slalu menghalangi keinginan makhluk tersebut membawa anaknya. Bila di paritain anak itu menjadi tenang dan bisa normal. Orang tuanya sejak kejadian itu sampai sekarang tidak pernah ke Gereja dan tidak percaya dengan Tuhan.
Bagaimana yang harus dilakukan?? apa ada yang bisa bantu?? karena sampai cerita ini diberitakan kejadian masih berlanjut sampai sekarang. Mohon bantuannya..

apa ada firewall?
trus kalau dimatiin firewallnya...ngaruh ke koneksi ga?
3. kalau pake fastnet bisa sampe berapa kom yang bisa connect..selama ini saya pake 2...satu laptop satu pc...bila ada temen saya yang pake laptop juga... gimana connect nya ya.....?

It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc (C drive) of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a mail called 'POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately.
This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by
Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by
McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus
simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is
kept.

Teman-teman, saya mohon bantuannya.
Kemaren malem temen saya ke dokter karena ada bintik2 merah dikakinya. (saya takutnya DBD). Tapi setelah di periksa darah di dokter, ternyata bukan. Kata dokter itu hanya kelebihan darah putih. Kalau tidak salah sel darah putihnya 15000 (normalnya 5rb-10rb).
Yang saya mau tanyakan.
1. apa yang menyebabkan naiknya sel darah putih tersebut
2. Kenapa ada bintik2 merah. (saya kira digigit nyamuk)
3. Bagaimana cara menurunkan sel darah putih ke tahap normal.
4. Adakah cara alaminya? misal minum jus jambu?
